Beginning Monday, April 21, the Village of Winnetka will begin turf restoration efforts at Crow Island Woods Park. This work is a follow-up to the Village’s Crow Island Underground Storage and Conveyance Project.
The project is expected to take several weeks, with completion anticipated by mid-May. During this time, turf areas adjacent to the Pavilion on the eastern and southern borders of the park will be closed. Heavy construction equipment will be in use throughout the duration of the project.
We kindly ask that you avoid these areas to help ensure the work is completed safely and efficiently. Upon completion, new sod will be installed, which will require several weeks to root. Please continue to avoid the area during this period to allow the turf to establish properly.
